Q: choke recs for doves vs ducks for april trip
That's a great question to prepare for your trip!
For high-volume dove shooting, we generally recommend more open chokes like Improved Cylinder or Light Modified. This allows for a wider pattern, which is very effective for the fast-paced, close-range shots you'll encounter with the immense numbers of doves.
For duck hunting, a Modified or Improved Modified choke is usually ideal. This provides a tighter pattern than for doves, which is better suited for the slightly longer shots typically involved in duck hunting, ensuring good pellet density at range.
Our professional guides will also be on hand to offer personalized recommendations based on your shooting style and the specific conditions of the day during your April trip.
