• For Doves: Given the incredible volume and rapid-fire action we experience, most hunters find great success with more open chokes. We recommend starting with an Improved Cylinder (IC) or Skeet/Light Modified. These chokes provide a wider pattern, which is ideal for connecting with fast-moving birds at varying distances, especially when you're shooting thousands of shells in a session.
• For Ducks: Duck hunting can require a bit more versatility. A Modified (MOD) choke is generally a very good all-around choice. If you anticipate longer pass-shooting opportunities, some hunters might opt for a Full (F) choke. For closer decoying shots, an Improved Cylinder (IC) can also be very effective. Many of our guests bring shotguns with interchangeable chokes to adapt to the specific conditions of the day.
