Q: for doves and then for ducks what's the go-to choke setup you guys suggest
That's a great question, and we're happy to help you prepare for an unforgettable hunt at AWS Lodge!
For high-volume dove shooting in Argentina, where the birds are incredibly abundant and often flying fast at various ranges, many of our guests find that more open chokes like Improved Cylinder (IC) or Light Modified (LM) work exceptionally well. This allows for a wider pattern, increasing your chances on those fast-moving targets.
When it comes to duck hunting, which is a different experience requiring more precise shots, we generally recommend stepping up to a tighter choke. Modified (M) is a versatile choice for many duck hunting scenarios, offering a good balance of pattern density and spread. Some hunters might even opt for Improved Modified (IM) depending on the specific conditions and distances. Our professional guides are always on hand to assist you with your setup and provide real-time recommendations based on the day's conditions and your personal preference.
