Q: for january hunt what chokes u suggest for high volume doves vs what i'd use for ducks

AWS EXPERT REPLY
For high-volume dove hunting in January, we generally recommend more open chokes like Improved Cylinder (IC) or Modified (M). This allows for a wider shot pattern, making it easier to connect with fast-flying doves, especially during the rapid-fire action we experience.

For duck hunting — note that Duck hunting is only available through our Mixed Bag program during the confirmed season, generally mid-May to mid-August, so it won't be part of a January hunt. For reference, when hunting ducks in season, which often involves larger birds and potentially longer shots over water, a tighter choke like Modified (M) or Improved Modified (IM) is typically more effective to ensure better pattern density and penetration.

*(AWS Expert Note: Please be aware that our Mixed Bag programs, including Duck and Perdiz hunting, strictly run during the Argentine winter from mid-May to mid-August. For trips in January, we exclusively offer our world-renowned High-Volume Dove program, which is spectacular year-round!)*
