Q: how much cash should we bring for tipping the bird boys and the rest of the lodge staff
That's a great question, and it shows you're thinking about the excellent service our team provides!
For tipping, we generally recommend the following guidelines to ensure our dedicated staff are properly recognized:
• Bird Boys: $50 - $100 per hunter, per day. These individuals work incredibly hard to ensure your hunting experience is seamless and enjoyable in the field.
• Lodge Staff (including chefs, servers, housekeepers, and other support staff): $50 - $100 per hunter, per day. This can be left as a lump sum at the end of your stay, typically given to the lodge manager to distribute equitably among the entire team.
Please note that these are general recommendations, and tipping is, of course, always at your discretion based on the quality of service you receive.
While tipping is a separate consideration, it's worth remembering that unless you are booking a 1-day trip, our multi-day packages are completely all-inclusive. This covers luxury lodging, gourmet meals, an open bar, and professional guides. We handle all the logistics for you, including arranging gun rentals and hunting licenses, which are added to your final itinerary so you don't have to worry about the details.
To help me tailor the best information for you and send you a custom proposal, could you please share your email address? Also, what time of year are you considering for your trip, and how many hunters would be in your group?
AWS Lodge Note: These insights are compiled from historical guest queries to assist in your trip planning. While we strive for accuracy, field conditions, weather, and specific logistics may vary. Our staff handles all the hard work in the field. Always confirm final gear and itinerary details directly with our team. Contact Staff »
