Q: Is January or February a good time for dove hunting in Argentina?
Yes. January and February are two of the best months for dove hunting at AWS Lodge. Summer conditions normally produce very consistent dove movement, excellent high-volume shooting and long afternoons in the field.
These months also offer something unique for guests who want to combine hunting with Argentine culture. During Carnival season, the famous Gualeguaychú Carnival — known as Carnaval del País — is typically held on Saturday nights. Because AWS Lodge is located in southern Entre Ríos, guests traveling on the right dates may be able to combine their dove hunting program with a Saturday night Carnival experience.
It can be an excellent option for couples, families or groups who want to add an evening activity beyond the field.
Carnival dates and performances vary each year, so guests interested in adding it to their trip should contact us before booking flights so we can confirm the schedule and coordinate the hunting itinerary around it.
