Q: Is July a good month for dove hunting in Argentina?

AWS EXPERT REPLY
Yes. July offers very good dove hunting, but its biggest advantage is the opportunity to combine doves with Argentina's winter Mixed Bag season.

At AWS Lodge, a typical July program may include morning duck or perdiz hunting followed by afternoon dove shooting. This gives hunters a very different experience from a summer trip focused almost entirely on high-volume doves.

Winter days are shorter, so dove sessions generally have less daylight than in January or February. However, the cooler temperatures and variety of hunting make July one of the most popular months for guests who want several species in a single trip.

For pure high-volume dove shooting, we would normally favor the warmer September through March period. For Mixed Bag hunting, July is an excellent choice.
