Q: is there a price difference for renting 20 gauge vs 12 gauge and which one do most hunters prefer for doves
At AWS Lodge, we aim to make your experience as seamless as possible. Unless you are booking a 1-day trip, our multi-day packages are completely all-inclusive. This covers luxury lodging, gourmet meals, open bar, and professional guides. We handle all the logistics for you, including arranging gun rentals and hunting licenses, which are standard fees added to your final itinerary so you don't have to worry about the details. Therefore, there isn't a separate price difference between renting a 12 gauge or 20 gauge; the rental fee covers either option.
Regarding preference for doves, both 12 gauge and 20 gauge are excellent choices. Many hunters, especially for high-volume dove shooting, prefer the 20 gauge for its lighter recoil, which can make a long day of shooting more comfortable. However, the 12 gauge offers a bit more punch and shot capacity, which some experienced hunters prefer. Ultimately, it comes down to personal comfort and shooting style.
