Q: waders for duck hunting in october are they really necessary or can i get by with just waterproof boots
For duck hunting in October at AWS Lodge, we highly recommend waders over just waterproof boots. While October marks the beginning of spring in Argentina, the water in the lagoons and marshes where we hunt ducks can still be quite chilly, especially in the early mornings.
Our duck hunting experiences often involve wading into shallow waters to reach blinds, position decoys, or retrieve birds. Waders will ensure you stay completely dry and comfortable throughout your hunt, allowing you to fully enjoy the incredible action without worrying about cold or wet feet. We want your experience to be as luxurious and comfortable as possible, both in the field and back at the lodge.
To help me tailor the best information for you and send you a custom proposal, could you please share your email address? Also, what time of year are you considering for your trip, and how many hunters would be in your group?
*(AWS Expert Note: Please be aware that our Mixed Bag programs, including Duck and Perdiz hunting, strictly run during the Argentine winter from mid-May to mid-August. For trips in October, we exclusively offer our world-renowned High-Volume Dove program, which is spectacular year-round!)*
