Q: What are the best and worst months for dove hunting in Argentina?

AWS EXPERT REPLY
For high-volume dove hunting in Argentina, the strongest period is generally from September through March, with January and February among our favorite months for consistent shooting and long summer days.

April is usually the least predictable month. This is when many farmers are planting or changing field conditions, which can cause large dove concentrations to disperse. For that reason, AWS Lodge normally does not recommend April for a dedicated dove hunting trip, except during the very first days of the month when conditions are still favorable.

From May through August, dove hunting remains very good, but these months are especially attractive for hunters who want a Mixed Bag program combining doves with ducks and perdiz during their respective seasons.

If your priority is maximum dove volume, January and February are excellent choices. If you want more variety, May through August offers the advantage of combining several bird species in the same trip.
