Q: what are the highest dove shooting records for a single day or trip and what's a reasonable expectation for a high-volume shooter in september
That's a great question! Argentina is renowned for offering the highest volume dove shooting in the world, where the sky truly seems to darken with birds.
While there isn't an official "world record" in a competitive sense, it's not uncommon for dedicated high-volume shooters at AWS Lodge to fire 2,000 to 4,000 shells in a single day, and some exceptional days can see even higher numbers. Many hunters achieve personal bests that they never thought possible. Our focus is on providing an unparalleled experience with unlimited doves.
September is an excellent month for high-volume dove shooting in Argentina. The birds are consistently abundant, and conditions are typically ideal for action-packed days. A high-volume shooter in September can reasonably expect to have multiple shooting stands where they will fire hundreds, if not thousands, of shells, often experiencing the kind of intense, continuous shooting that hunters dream of.
*(AWS Expert Note: Please be aware that our Mixed Bag programs, including Duck and Perdiz hunting, strictly run during the Argentine winter from mid-May to mid-August. For trips in September, we exclusively offer our world-renowned High-Volume Dove program, which is spectacular year-round!)*
