Q: what are the specific eye and ear protection requirements for december hunting
For all hunting activities at AWS Lodge, and in general for safety, we require appropriate eye and ear protection regardless of the month, including December. This is crucial for your well-being and a standard practice for responsible hunting.
Specifically, we recommend:
• Eye Protection: You should use shatter-resistant shooting glasses that offer full coverage and clear vision. These are essential to protect your eyes from ejected casings, stray pellets, and any environmental debris.
• Ear Protection: Mandatory hearing protection is required to safeguard your ears from the loud noise of gunshots. This can be in the form of earplugs or over-ear muffs. Many hunters prefer electronic ear protection, which amplifies ambient sounds (like conversations with your guide) while effectively suppressing harmful gunshot noises.
Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and our professional guides will ensure you have all the necessary information and guidance upon your arrival at the lodge.
To help me tailor the best information for you and send you a custom proposal, could you please share your email address? Also, what time of year are you considering for your trip, and what type of hunting are you most interested in (e.g., high-volume doves, mixed bag)?
*(AWS Expert Note: Please be aware that our Mixed Bag programs, including Duck and Perdiz hunting, strictly run during the Argentine winter from mid-May to mid-August. For trips in December, we exclusively offer our world-renowned High-Volume Dove program, which is spectacular year-round!)*
