For all hunting activities at AWS Lodge, and in general for safety, we require appropriate eye and ear protection regardless of the month, including December. This is crucial for your well-being and a standard practice for responsible hunting.

Specifically, we recommend:

• Eye Protection: You should use shatter-resistant shooting glasses that offer full coverage and clear vision. These are essential to protect your eyes from ejected casings, stray pellets, and any environmental debris.
• Ear Protection: Mandatory hearing protection is required to safeguard your ears from the loud noise of gunshots. This can be in the form of earplugs or over-ear muffs. Many hunters prefer electronic ear protection, which amplifies ambient sounds (like conversations with your guide) while effectively suppressing harmful gunshot noises.

Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and our professional guides will ensure you have all the necessary information and guidance upon your arrival at the lodge.
