Q: what choke recommendations do you have for doves versus ducks for our march trip
For doves, we generally recommend an improved cylinder or modified choke due to the fast-paced, high-volume shooting. These chokes provide a wider pattern, making it easier to connect with the birds. For ducks, which are typically larger and taken at longer ranges, a modified or full choke is often preferred to ensure a tighter pattern and more effective hits.
Since you're considering a March trip, that's fantastic! March offers excellent conditions for both dove and duck hunting.
