Q: what chokes are best for doves vs ducks for october trip

AWS EXPERT REPLY
For doves, which are fast and often shot at varying distances, we generally recommend more open chokes like Improved Cylinder (IC) or Light Modified (LM). These provide a wider pattern, making it easier to connect with these agile birds.

For ducks — note that Duck hunting is only available through our Mixed Bag program during the confirmed season, generally mid-May to mid-August, so it won't be part of an October trip. For reference, when hunting ducks in season, which are often shot at longer ranges, especially during pass shooting, tighter chokes like Modified (M), Improved Modified (IM), or even Full (F) are typically preferred, providing a denser pattern for increased range and stopping power. Our professional guides are always on hand to help you choose the best setup for the specific conditions and your shooting style during your trip.

Regarding your "October trip," our multi-day packages are completely all-inclusive, covering luxury lodging, gourmet meals, open bar, and professional guides. We handle all the logistics for you, including arranging gun rentals and hunting licenses, which are added to your final itinerary so you don't have to worry about the details.

*(AWS Expert Note: Please be aware that our Mixed Bag programs, including Duck and Perdiz hunting, strictly run during the Argentine winter from mid-May to mid-August. For trips in October, we exclusively offer our world-renowned High-Volume Dove program, which is spectacular year-round!)*
