Q: what chokes do yall recommend for doves vs ducks in april any specific ones for each
That's a great question! Our expert guides at AWS Lodge are very experienced in helping our guests select the optimal chokes for both doves and ducks.
Generally, for high-volume dove shooting, many prefer Modified or Improved Cylinder chokes, as they offer a good balance of pattern density and spread for the fast-paced, close-to-medium range shots you'll encounter. For ducks, especially in April, a Modified or Full choke is often ideal, depending on the specific hunting conditions and typical shooting distances at our private lagoons.
We ensure you have the best setup for a successful hunt, including providing high-quality gun rentals if needed, as part of our all-inclusive packages. Our team handles all the logistics, including arranging gun rentals and hunting licenses, which are added to your final itinerary so you don't have to worry about the details.
To help me tailor the best information for you and send you a custom proposal, could you please share your email address? Also, what time of year are you considering for your trip?
*(AWS Expert Note: Please be aware that our Mixed Bag programs, including Duck and Perdiz hunting, strictly run during the Argentine winter from mid-May to mid-August. For trips in April, we exclusively offer our world-renowned High-Volume Dove program, which is spectacular year-round!)*
