Q: what's the main difference between mixed bag and dove-only hunts, like in terms of experience and what we'd actually be doing each day

That's a great question! Both our High-Volume Dove and Mixed Bag programs offer incredible experiences, but they cater to slightly different preferences regarding the variety of hunting you'll enjoy.
Here's the main difference:
High-Volume Dove Hunt:
This program is all about the exhilarating, non-stop action of dove shooting. Argentina is world-renowned for its incredible dove populations, and our lodge is ideally situated in a region with millions of birds.
• Experience: You'll spend both your mornings and afternoons exclusively targeting doves. This means continuous shooting, often requiring multiple cases of shells per day, and a true test of your shooting skills. It's an incredibly high-adrenaline experience focused on pure volume and repetition.
• Daily Activity: Typically, after a gourmet breakfast, you'll head out to the dove fields (which are very close to the lodge, usually 5-15 minutes) for a morning shoot. You'll return to the lodge for a lavish lunch and a siesta, then head back out for an afternoon dove shoot until sunset.
Mixed Bag Hunt:
The Mixed Bag program offers a more diverse hunting experience, combining the intensity of dove shooting with the challenge of hunting ducks and perdiz.
• Experience: This is perfect for hunters who want to sample more of Argentina's wingshooting offerings. You'll get the thrill of decoying ducks over water and the classic upland challenge of perdiz (a wild partridge) flushing over pointing dogs, in addition to the famous dove shooting.
• Daily Activity: A typical Mixed Bag day starts very early with a morning duck hunt, usually in one of our 32 private lagoons (5-45 minutes from the lodge). Alternatively, you might start with a perdiz hunt over dogs. After your morning hunt, you'll return to the lodge for lunch and a rest, and then head out for a high-volume dove shoot in the afternoon.
