Q: what's the standard tipping etiquette for the guides and lodge staff
Tipping is a customary way to show appreciation for the exceptional service provided by our guides and lodge staff at AWS Lodge. While it's always at your discretion, here's a general guideline:
• Hunting Guides & Bird Boys: We recommend $100 per hunter, per hunting day, to be split between your guide and dedicated bird boy.
• Lodge Staff: For the entire lodge staff (chefs, housekeepers, bartenders, etc.), a collective tip of $100-$150 per hunter, per day of your stay, is greatly appreciated and can be given to the lodge manager at the end of your trip to be distributed among the team.
Our team works hard to ensure every aspect of your experience, from the field to the lodge, is seamless and luxurious.
To help me tailor the best information for you and send you a custom proposal, could you please share your email address? Also, what time of year are you considering for your trip?
AWS Lodge Note: These insights are compiled from historical guest queries to assist in your trip planning. While we strive for accuracy, field conditions, weather, and specific logistics may vary. Our staff handles all the hard work in the field. Always confirm final gear and itinerary details directly with our team. Contact Staff »
