Q: what's the typical daily schedule for a duck hunt in october, like what time do we wake up, hunt, eat, etc

AWS EXPERT REPLY
AWS Lodge does not run Duck hunts in October — Duck sessions are offered only through a confirmed Mixed Bag program during the normal season, generally mid-May to mid-August. For October trips, we exclusively offer our High-Volume Dove program. For reference, here is what a typical Duck hunting day looks like when booked within the Mixed Bag season:

Early Morning (Pre-Dawn):
Wake-Up Call: You'll receive a gentle wake-up call around 5:00 - 5:30 AM, allowing you to prepare for the hunt.
Gourmet Breakfast: Head to the dining room for a hearty breakfast featuring fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, bacon, and excellent coffee. This provides the energy you'll need for the morning hunt.
Departure to the Field: Our professional guides will have your gear ready. You'll board our comfortable Unimogs or Jeeps for a short drive (typically 5-45 minutes) to one of our 32 prime private lagoons, chosen based on recent scouting for optimal duck activity.

Morning Hunt (Dawn to Mid-Morning):
Blind Setup: Upon arrival at the lagoon, your dedicated bird boy will have the blinds set up and decoys deployed. You'll be settled in your comfortable blind, ready for the morning flight.
High-Volume Duck Hunting: As the sun rises, you'll experience incredible duck hunting action, with a wide variety of species. Your bird boy will assist with loading, retrieving, and ensuring you have everything you need.
Return to Lodge: After a thrilling morning hunt, usually around 9:30 - 10:00 AM, you'll return to the lodge.

Mid-Day (Late Morning to Afternoon):
Refreshments & Relaxation: Back at the lodge, you can enjoy a refreshing drink, relax by the fireplace, or freshen up in your private suite.
Gourmet Lunch: Around 1:00 PM, you'll indulge in a gourmet lunch prepared by our chef, often featuring traditional Argentine dishes like our famous "asado" (BBQ), fresh salads, and fine wines.
Siesta/Leisure Time: The afternoon is yours to enjoy. Many guests opt for a traditional Argentine siesta, relax by the pool, enjoy the lodge amenities, or simply unwind.

Late Afternoon/Evening:
Cocktail Hour: As the evening approaches, gather with your group for cocktails and appetizers, sharing stories of the day's hunt.
Gourmet Dinner: Enjoy another exquisite dinner, paired with premium Argentine wines. Our chefs pride themselves on creating unforgettable culinary experiences.
Relaxation: The rest of the evening is for relaxation and enjoying the luxurious ambiance of the lodge.

Our multi-day packages are completely all-inclusive, covering luxury lodging, gourmet meals, open bar, and professional guides. We handle all the logistics, including arranging gun rentals and hunting licenses, which are added to your final itinerary so you don't have to worry about the details.

*(AWS Expert Note: Please be aware that our Mixed Bag programs, including Duck and Perdiz hunting, strictly run during the Argentine winter from mid-May to mid-August. For trips in October, we exclusively offer our world-renowned High-Volume Dove program, which is spectacular year-round!)*
