That's an excellent question! A typical hunting day at AWS Lodge in November is designed for maximum enjoyment and comfort, ensuring you get the most out of your experience. We pride ourselves on a seamless, luxurious hunting adventure from start to finish.
Here's what you can generally expect for your daily schedule:
• Early Morning (approx. 6:00 - 6:30 AM): Your day begins with a gentle wake-up call, followed by a light breakfast with coffee, juice, and pastries to fuel you up for the hunt.
• Morning Hunt (approx. 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM): After breakfast, you'll head out to one of our prime hunting fields in our comfortable Unimogs or Jeeps. Our 32 private lagoons are typically a short 5-45 minute drive away. You'll be paired with your dedicated bird boy and begin your high-volume dove hunt (our exclusive offering for November trips, since Mixed Bag Duck and Perdiz sessions run only during the confirmed season, generally mid-May to mid-August).
• Gourmet Lunch & Siesta (approx. 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM): We return to the lodge for a magnificent gourmet lunch, often featuring our famous Argentine *asado* (BBQ) paired with fine wines. This is followed by a relaxing siesta or time to enjoy the lodge's amenities, allowing you to recharge for the afternoon.
• Afternoon Hunt (approx. 3:30 PM - Sunset): Refreshed, you'll head back to the fields for the afternoon hunt, continuing until sunset, when the doves fly back to roost.
• Evening (Post-Sunset): Back at the lodge, you'll enjoy cocktails, appetizers, and share stories of the day's hunt before indulging in another exquisite dinner, prepared by our chefs.
