A DIFFERENT KIND OF ARGENTINA DOVE HUNT
Argentina is famous for high-volume dove shooting. The VIP Vertigo Dove Circuit was created for experienced wingshooters who want to go beyond volume alone.
Rather than repeating the same shooting presentation throughout the trip, Vertigo introduces hunters to a changing sequence of fields, positions, flight lines, distances, angles and shooting techniques.
The program is built around a selection of nine AWS dove fields, each with its own terrain, bird movement and shooting characteristics. Our experienced field team evaluates current conditions and selects the strongest combination of locations for each group.
The result is a faster, more varied and more complete wingshooting journey.
NINE FIELDS. DIFFERENT PRESENTATIONS.
No two dove fields shoot exactly the same way. One session may feature fast crossing birds over open agricultural land. Another may place hunters beneath traditional flight lines, beside woodland, near roosting areas or in positions requiring completely different reactions, footwork and gun movement.
Bird height, speed, direction, distance and visibility can change considerably between locations. Vertigo uses these differences to create a progressive shooting experience rather than a repetitive daily routine.
MORE THAN A CHANGE OF SCENERY
Each relocation is intended to introduce a different shooting problem. Hunters may encounter:
- Fast crossing birds requiring longer leads
- Incoming birds with limited reaction time
- High presentations requiring controlled movement
- Lower flight lines demanding speed and precision
- Open-field shooting with wide visibility
- Woodland-edge positions with changing backgrounds
- Shooting angles that require different stance and gun movement
HOW THE VERTIGO CIRCUIT WORKS
Vertigo is not operated from a rigid, predetermined field schedule. Before and during each program, the AWS Lodge field team evaluates current bird movement, weather, flight-line activity, shooting pressure, and group experience.
Based on this information, the team determines the most suitable fields, positions and relocations for the group. This allows the program to adapt to the conditions encountered during the trip instead of forcing hunters to follow an itinerary established weeks in advance.
TACTICAL FIELD RELOCATIONS
In a traditional dove program, a group may remain in one productive area throughout an entire session. Vertigo creates the option to change positions or relocate to another field when conditions support the move.
A tactical relocation may be used to:
- Follow a stronger bird movement
- Introduce a new flight presentation
- Change the shooting distance or angle
- Move from open terrain to a more technical position
- Maintain the pace and variety of the program
The purpose is not to move unnecessarily. The purpose is to make each movement add value to the experience.
THE VERTIGO ITINERARY
The following structure illustrates the rhythm of the program. The exact sequence of fields and shooting positions is determined according to scouting, weather, bird movement and operational conditions.
Arrival Day: Private transfer from Buenos Aires to AWS Lodge. After arrival, lunch and preparation, the group begins its first afternoon dove-shooting session. This opening hunt introduces the group to the AWS operation and allows the field team to evaluate shooting experience, pace and individual preferences.
Full Circuit Days: Morning and afternoon shooting sessions are organized around the strongest available bird movements. Depending on conditions, the group may shoot different areas of the same property, change positions during a session, or relocate between different AWS fields.
Final Session: The final stage of the circuit is selected according to current scouting reports and the experience accumulated. Whenever conditions permit, the objective is to conclude the journey with a presentation that feels different from the earlier hunts.
